Beautiful Rebel (2024)

Based on Italian singer-songwriter Gianna Nannini’s self-written account of her life, this biopic stars Letizia Toni as the artist in her youth, growing up with wealthy parents who wanted her to become a tennis player. After blackmailing her father by threatening to reveal his extramarital affairs, she’s allowed to move to Milan and pursue a music career, but she has to go through the standard struggles and personal crises that come with the Holy Trinity of music biopics: sex, drugs, and rock’n’roll. Only this sexy star likes the ladies, and we get to see Letizia lezz it up with Selene Caramazza and later wake up in her undies next to an unnamed topless woman. The added bonus is that there’s a bit of archival footage of the real Gianni pretending to jerk off with a microphone and brandishing one of her bare breasts on stage during a concert. Rebel rebel, you showed your boob!
